Pileo rosso arancio con superfice feltrata, imenoforo biancastro e pori piccoli, gambo bianco rivestito di piccole squame bianche all'esordio, poi rosso brunastro a maturità. Pileo bianco, carne fragile e friabile con odore di impasto di pane. Lamelle inizialmente bianche e poi rosa per il colore delle spore a maturità, decorrenti, gambo tipicamente decentrato. Gambo concolore al pileo, latice bianco, imenoforo costituito da numerose lamellule. Pileo bruno rossiccio, più scuro al centro, margine con l'età più chiaro, sapore prima dolce e poi amarescente, sgradevole, odore subnullo, vagamente cimicino.
