Primordi Si distingue macroscopicamente da Strobilurus stephanocystis e Strobilurus tenacellus per la crescita su strobili di Picea abies, mentre quest'ultime crescono su strobili di Pinus spp., ed emana un odore gradevole con sapore mite, dolciastro, gradevole.
